Personality: Raven is known for his mood swings, being angry one moment, and then happy and chatty the next. He always seems to be able to keep his anger in check around family, and has a great distrust in most unless he knows them on a first name basis.

 

 

      Raven was born the still-born child of a Kalvacian Priestess of the Mengsk bloodline. As was the village tradition, her dead baby would serve as the flesh and bone vessel of the Parasite Demon to whom the tribe paid tribute. The priestess, young Feloria Mengsk, wished not that her child would become nothing more than a vessel, she fled her village with the child's lifeless body, taking herself as far as the Imperial Realm ruled by Emperor Shenezaar Koruki.

      Cold, tired, and on her last surge of strength, Feloria knew it was too late for her...So, it was by the river Daflor, Feloria slit her wrist with her own claw and drained her blood into her dead childs body. She whispered into young Xanders ears the incantation which would bring him life from her blood.

      While she died, she sang to her child a lullaby, growing ever weaker. When at last her eyes began to close, she smiled as her own child opened his glowing green eyes to meet hers. She was happy that at least, she got to see him live, if only for a second.

 

           Fate was kind to young Xander...for it was the Empress Neela Koruki whom found the child in his dead mothers arms. The royal couple were without children, so Xander was adopted under the name Raven Torell.
